Easy Errands

(Alternatively Titled: Birkenstocks are amazing and I will have no one tell me otherwise.)

Sunnies + Graphic Tee + Leggings + Denim Jacket + Birkenstocks = Running Errands in Style

Saturdays are not relaxing AND THAT’S OK! As a working mom, my time with my daughter during the work week feels limited to 4ish hours in the evening, so the last thing I want to do is laundry. Or grocery shopping. Or picking up stamps. I want to spend time with Pippa instead! Generally, this means that allll of those errands tend to fall on Saturday. So Saturdays are busy!

If you know me, though, you know that even when I’m running around town, I want to feel pulled together. Feeling good about myself means I’ll be more productive! So when I’m busy, I need a basic outfit equation that is comfortable, practical, can withstand a thousand different reincarnations, and cute!

This is the outfit that does that for me! It’s basic enough that I can mimic it a thousand times over, and still never wear the same exact thing twice! A cute graphic tee under a jean jacket is an easy option, and tying the bottom in a knot is a quick way to say “I tried, but not too hard.” 😉

My Harry Potter tee is from Aster + Gray in Valpo (LOVE LOVE LOVE that place! Stop by if you’re local and get a chance!). The Birkenstocks are from Nordstrom (though I’m pretty sure you can get them just about anywhere). I was religiously a flip flop wear-er, but they’ve completely won me over! They’re the perfect casual shoe for warmer weather and now my feet actually feel supported. My Ray-Bans are a recent purchase from Sunglass Hut in Disney World, of all places! I love the round frames.

Busy mornings don’t have to mean leaving the house and feeling like a mess, and pulling an outfit together doesn’t have to mean losing hours in your closet wondering what to wear. Sometimes, simple is best and the finishing touches (jacket, sunglasses, a t-shirt knot or rolled jacket sleeves) make all the difference in the world! Find a combo that works for you!
